Animal Surgery and Dentistry

We Manage Intensive Dental Needs for Your Animal

At Smalley's Animal Hospital, we perform elective surgeries (spays, neuters, mass removals, dental procedures) five days a week by appointment and on as needed for critical or emergent patients.

We have a dedicated surgical suite that consists of a heated surgical table, state-of-the-art anesthesia monitoring equipment (heart rate, oxygen saturation, CO2, ECG, NIBP, body temp), inhalant anesthesia vaporizer, and oxygen monitored by a trained veterinary technician as well as the doctor. Each surgery is performed under aseptic conditions with a sterile surgical pack.

Some specialty soft-tissue and orthopedic procedures are available and discussed on a case-by-case basis with clients. We are affiliated with several university and specialty hospitals to offer you with the best surgical options for your pet.

Dentistry

Oral disease is one of the most common health problems diagnosed in pets. We perform dental / oral examination on your pet annually as part of their physical exam and will discuss the need for dental care on a case-by-case basis.

Oral disease can lead to serious health problems in other parts of your pet’s body (especially the heart and kidneys) if left unchecked.

Make Care More Affordable

Providing ongoing care for your animal's oral health, particularly when there is a need for extractions or other extensive procedures, can be costly.

Our in-house pharmacy contains many of the pharmaceuticals needed for treatment of a large proportion of pet diseases. We utilize local and specialty / compounding pharmacies when needed.
